Becoming a volunteer means more than wearing a title — it means living the mission of equality, justice, and leadership every day.

Be A Active Member

  • Join the Movement

    • Become an official member of the NAACP by registering through the Youth & College Division Membership Portal.

    • Select “Bowie State University NAACP Section” as your unit.

    • Membership helps fund vital programs, scholarships, and advocacy initiatives nationwide.​​

Show Proof Of Membership 

  1. Once registered, submit proof of your NAACP membership (digital or printed card) to our Membership Chair or Executive Board at naacp1865@gmail.com

  2. This step ensures that you are recognized as an active member of the Bowie State chapter and eligible to participate in official events.

Attend Community Service Events 

  • Serve Your Community

    • Attend at least three community service events per semester to remain in good standing as an active member.

    • Opportunities include our annual Food Rescue Drive, Winter Coat Drive, Project Warmth, voter registration events, and local volunteer partnerships.

    • Members who consistently participate may also qualify for recognition awards and leadership opportunities within the organization.
