Who We Are
Founded on the principles of leadership, advocacy, and service, the NAACP Bowie State Section represents a community of passionate students committed to social justice and civic engagement.
Our organization unites diverse voices to address issues affecting our campus, local community, and the broader nation — including voter education, mental health awareness, police reform, food insecurity, and youth empowerment.
We work collaboratively with other campus organizations, state chapters, and community partners to promote equity, education, and empowerment through action-oriented initiatives.

Our Mission
The NAACP Bowie State University Section is dedicated to advancing equality, protecting civil rights, and empowering the next generation of student leaders. Guided by the mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), our chapter strives to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights for all people while eliminating race-based discrimination.
We believe that activism starts with awareness and that students have the power to drive systemic change within their campuses and communities.

Our Vision
We envision a Bowie State community where every student feels seen, supported, and inspired to stand up for justice. Our chapter serves as both a voice for the voiceless and a bridge between campus activism and national impact.
Together, we are the future of the movement — committed to building a legacy of courage, advocacy, and equality.
